Holding our Strengths & Struggles through Song
The Women Sing! program focuses on easy to learn songs with uplifting words (mostly in English) or rounds and lullabies — either sung in unison or simple harmonies. This is combined with intention, breathwork, warm-up sequence, toning/humming, guided introspection, movement and more....
Intention of our song choices & voice activation practices:
Melodic Mantra & Lullaby — repetition of simple, soothing melodic phrases that support the nervous‑system. When paired with light tapping and slow swaying, it supports regulation, grounding, and a felt sense of safety which allows the voice to open without effort.Â
Call & Response - builds listening skills, pitch accuracy, timing, and confidence. Repeating what you hear helps calibrate the ear and voice. It’s accessible for all levels and brings a sense of fun and connection to the circle.Â
World Chants — chosen for their rhythmic and uplifting message in simple language structures.
Heart Songs — in time we will learn to write and share our own!
Sing to Thrive Method — Somatic Voice Techniques, original songs & chants with positive lyrics. The method provides a map for a 7-stage Voice Activation journey.
Sing the Body Electric Method — somatic toning practices to playfully free the voice; includes Sonic Anatomy, Emotion into Motion, and Healing Tone-ics.
Weaving Rhythm & Voice — rhythmic entrainment which supports grounding (settling the body–mind) and coherence (bringing people into shared timing, breath, and presence).
Harmony singing — helps develop vocal confidence, breath awareness, timing and pitch steadiness, as well as group connection. Canons and rounds make harmony accessible for all levels, while simple parallel lines and counterpoints create a rich, uplifting sound without pressure or complexity.Â

Community Songs uplift us, give us hope and give us a sense of belonging. They bring us into the present moment. They connect us to nature and our own lives. They may be slow and meaningful or just a lot of fun to sing. They are songs that touch us on a physical, emotional, and/or spiritual level.
